So here is why and what !
1. Who am I
My name is Clotaire Mandel, I’m a french cyclist and I’ve left home about 7 years ago now. On this trip, I cycled across 55 countries so far, for about 67 000km+.
I’ve been sharing photos, videos and stories over the last year on my blog, and mainly on instagram.
2. Why this now
Four reasons why I’m here :
- I find instagram very restrictive about the size and the format of sharing. It is becoming more of a quick and stupid content consuming platform. So I wanted more space, and potentially more readers as well.
- My personal website doesn’t have much views on it, so I' have to find another option
- Anything that is out of the somehow hard to comprehend editor’s line of most bikepacking websites and blogs. So hard to get some visibility from here as well.
- I just can’t stop cycling and travelling. And also I don’t want to give up story telling, so if I have a chance to get some subscribers here to help out founding my journey, that would be absolutely amazing.
3. What kind of community I am looking to build here
This is about sharing. I have the opportunity to see the world from my bike, to explore and visit places, countries, continents.
And not like in selfish instagram, I want it to be more of a exchange, a true to myself plateform to share informations and feelings, photos and words.
It’s then not just about me, but it’s a conversation, between us all. To agree, disagree, contemplate.
